The Iowa Barnstormers finished their season July 30 as they defeated the Arizona Rattlers, 67-47, in Phoenix. Iowa finished with a 7-9 record. Ryan finished the season going 317-498 which was good enough for 3,924 yards and 78 touchdowns. He had 79 rushes for 275 yards and 22 touchdowns. Iowa Loses, Outside Of Playoff Race

Despite a 310-yard, 6 touchdown effort by Ryan, the Barnstormers weren't able to overcome a difficult Oklahoma City team. Iowa to a 6-7 record after losing 52-42 to the Yard Dawgz. The 'Stormers are now 2.5 games back from the fourth and final American Conference playoff spot and take on the top team in the league, the Spokane Shock this Friday, July 16 in Wells Fargo Arena. The game will be nationally broadcast on the NFL Network.
'Stormers Beat Dallas, Stay In Playoff Race

Ryan led the Iowa Barnstormers to victory on July 2 as they beat the Dallas Vigilantes. The star quarterback tossed four touchdowns and ran for another in the 59-38 win. Vena Earns Playmaker of the Week Honors

Courtesy of arenafootball.com: Vena (6-1, 225, Colgate) had an impressive game in the solid home-win against Utah, utilizing his ability to make plays both in the passing and rushing game. Vena ended with three carries for 38 yards and one touchdown, which came in the final minutes of the game. He also accounted for an incredible 245 yards and seven touchdowns from 20 completions. Overall, Vena threw a 90 percent completion rate on the night. The veteran helped the Barnstormers keep their playoff dreams alive with the 68-32 victory.

If a much needed win, Ryan threw seven touchdowns and ran for another to lead the Barnstormers to victory over the Utah Blaze. Vena threw three touchdowns to Buena Vista alum Jesse Schmidt. Larry Kendrick was the recepient of two of two touchdowns as Todd Blythe and last year's quarterback Brian Villanueva each hauled in one touchdown. The Barnstormers travel south this weekend to take on the 1-10 Dallas Vigilantes.

Ryan tossed the game-winning touchdown pass with 24 seconds left to former ISU standout Todd Blythe to secure the game for the Barnstormers. Ryan threw five touchdowns total, four to Blythe and one to Tommy Ellingworth. The 'Stormers travel to Cleveland next weekend to take on the Gladiators in their second straight road showdown.

Despite tremendous efforts from Ryan, the Barnstormers weren't able to overcome the Alabama Vipers, eventually succumbing after Kevin Eakin tossed a touchdown pass with just 12 seconds left. Ryan threw three of his five touchdowns to Augustana College alum Tommy Ellingworth and one a piece to arguably the best receiving duo in the AFL, Todd Blythe and Jesse Schmidt. The 'Stormers travel to Bossier City to take on the Bossier-Shreveport Battlewings next Saturday, the 12, at 7:05 pm.

Vena Scores 7 Touchdowns; 'Stormers Fall on Kurt Warner Night

On the night that the Iowa Barnstormer's organization honored AFL and Barnstormer legend Kurt Warner, Ryan had another phenomenal night by throwing for six touchdowns and rushing for a seventh. Vena threw two touchdowns a piece to Jesse Schmidt and Todd Blythe while throw one a piece to Tim Dodge and Tommy Ellingworth. The Barnstormers eventually fell to the Arizona Rattlers 52-48.
Vena Leads 'Stormers To Second Straight Win

Ryan Vena lead the Iowa Barnstormers to their second straight win this past weekend, through for 236 yards and four touchdowns.
